LOKELMA® (sodium zirconium cyclosilicate) is indicated for the treatment of hyperkalaemia in adult patients.
Improving outcomes for people with cardiorenal disease often requires optimising RAASi therapy, even when hyperkalaemia gets in the way. This clinical challenge can be translated into a practical, system-level solution through a Quality Improvement Project (QIP).
The QIP template is designed to support healthcare professionals to optimise RAASi therapy where hyperkalaemia is a barrier. This template is in a PowerPoint format and is fully editable, allowing you to tailor it to your local setting. Once downloaded, you can adapt, edit, remove, or build on the content to suit your pathway, stakeholders, and service needs.
The template takes you through a structured QIP methodology, from baseline audit, pathway mapping to root-cause analysis using tools such as fishbone and driver diagrams. It then supports implementation through iterative PDSA cycles to help you test changes, track impact, and embed sustainable improvements in RAASi optimisation.
The goal of this tools is to provide you with a template to plan, deliver and document a Quality Improvement Project focused on RAASi optimisation when hyperkalaemia is a barrier.
